At a recent workshop I arranged 3 little Birds by Bob Marley to enable a young person to trigger the backing loops using the keyboard with software called Ableton. I created 2 solo's on the Soundbeam in Logic.We learnt the lyrics to the chorus and practised the different parts to the song. Then the young people chose the instruments that they would like to play.
The young people performed the whole track using drums, electronic drums, guitar, keyboard, solo's in soundbeam and vocals as well as a dance!
